MY FRIEND MELVIN WATSON
I’m going to talk to you about a co-worker. His name is Melvin Watson. He is a technician of Support Office. He has 42 years of working in elevators maintenance and general maintenance. His experience at work is very important for BCR.
Our co-workers like engineers look for him to ask for electrical systems, air conditioning, plumbing and many other things.
In his 62 years my friend Watson feels that it’s time for his retirement, but he doesn’t want to stop working and hold on to contribute at BCR with his single experience and knowledge that he won over many years.
He recalls many anecdotes about work. For example the time when equipments were old and He had to removing very heavy parts of them and move them long distances with his hands and his back.
Hi recalls also when he had to attend emergencies on weekends. Once main building was flooded by a leak at third floor. That day national soccer team was playing, so while all people in Costa Rica was seeing the game and he and his colleagues was took out water for the building in order to on Monday the bank could open service.
There are many memories and hard work histories, however customers and important people didn’t know, but in Support Office his work is known, respected and valued.
